The Programme
We’ll meet up at 2pm on Friday when we’ll check in to the beautiful Harris Hotel, and begin 7 action packed days working the many locations I know in the area. Our sunrise locations will be close to the hotel, allowing us to take advantage of a hearty hotel breakfast after our morning shoot, then back out to explore some daytime locations followed by the iconic sunset landmarks.
The itinerary for the workshop will be as flexible as possible, I’ll be keeping a close eye on weather forecasts to ensure we have the best shooting conditions for specific locations. In order to maximise your chances of creating breathtaking images we’ll recact to the weather and tidal conditions, ensuring you are in the best spots to capture Harris & Lewis in it’s best light.

WORKSHOP ITINERARY
Our Harris & Lewis Photography Workshop will have a flexible schedule with no fixed daily programme. Keeping a close eye on weather and tidal conditions, I will adapt & react to the weather, bringing you to the best locations in the best light to maximise your opportunities to capture amazing images. Our hotel is central to everywhere we will shoot with most places within 30-60 minutes away. Sunrise is approx 7.30am and sunset 6pm.
Arrival day: meeting at 2pm to check into the Harris Hotel, early dinner at the hotel before heading out for our sunset session. I can collect people from Glasgow or Inverness that morning if needed.
Days 2 to 5: our daily schedule will begin with an early morning sunrise location followed by a hearty breakfast in our hotel. After a short break we’ll then head out to explore some daytime locations and learn to perfect our long exposure techniques. Lunch will be on the go to ensure we cover as many locations as possible. We’ll aim to arrive at our sunset location an hour prior to sunset, to scout out the best compositions and ensuring we capture the best light of the day. Then we’ll head back to the hotel for a delicious evening meal, discuss our days shooting and plans for the following day.
Departure day: we will have another sunrise shoot nearby our hotel again followed by breakfast. The workshop will conclude at 1pm. Final goodbyes, lots of hugs and leaving with memories to last a lifetime.
The workshop is designed to be engaging, fun, flexible and educational.
