WORKSHOP ITINERARY

Our Glencoe & Isle of Skye Photography Workshop will have a flexible schedule with no fixed daily programme. Keeping a close eye on weather and tidal conditions, I will adapt & react to the weather, bringing you to the best locations in the best light to maximise your opportunities to capture amazing images. Our hotesl are central to everywhere we will shoot with most places within 30-60 minutes away. Sunrise is approx 8.45am and sunset 4.15pm.

Arrival day: Our workshop will begin in Glencoe where we’ll meet at 1pm to check into the Kingshouse Hotel, before heading out for our first sunset session followed dinner at the hotel. I can collect guests from Glasgow Airport that morning if needed.

Days 2 to 3: Over the next 2 days we’ll explore Glencoe, renowned for its rugged mountains, deep valleys and serene lochs. Our daily schedule will begin with an early morning sunrise location followed by a hearty breakfast in our hotel. After a short break we’ll then head out to explore some daytime locations and learn to perfect our long exposure techniques. Lunch will be on the go to ensure we cover as many locations as possible. We’ll aim to arrive at our sunset location an hour prior to sunset, to scout out the best compositions and ensuring we capture the best light of the day. Then we’ll head back to the hotel for a delicious evening meal, discuss our days shooting and plans for the following day.

Days 4 to 7: We’ll depart Glencoe the morning of the 15th and make our way to the Isle of Skye. Celebrated for its diverse and dramatic terrains, over the next four days we’ll discover the iconic Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing’s unique geological formations, the picturesque Neist Point Lighthouse, the peace and tranquility of Elgol and many more. The island’s ever-changing weather conditions offer dynamic lighting, enhancing the photographic experience.

Departure day: We will have a final sunrise shoot nearby our hotel again followed by breakfast. After our morning shoot we will depart for Glasgow Airport. The workshop will conclude at 4pm. Final goodbyes, lots of hugs and leaving with memories to last a lifetime.
